§ 02 — Become Pedagogical assistant
As an educational assistant you help support and develop people in daily life. You work with children young people or adults with special needs and help them thrive learn and unfold. The training makes you a skilled professional who can create safe frameworks and see the individual.
§What do you do in everyday life?
Your day is filled with presence and activities. You play do creative projects help with practical things and are a safe adult to turn to. You support children in their development or help adults manage everyday life as independently as possible. You keep an eye on wellbeing cooperate with colleagues and parents and adjust the day based on what the people around you need.

§How do you get started?
You start with a basic course at a vocational school and then find a practical placement at, for example, a day care facility, a school, or a residential facility, where you enter an education agreement. The course alternates between school stays and practice, and you get paid while you train.
§The way forward
As an educational assistant you can work in daycare centres schools residential facilities or nursing homes. You can specialise in for example special education and you have a good foundation if you later want to study further to become an educator or another education in the educational and social field.
