About Discebo.
Here you'll find who is behind it, how the trade material is verified, and where the numbers come from — so you can judge for yourself whether to trust it.
In short
Discebo is derived from the Latin discere, 'to learn'. One login gives access to the entire workshop: subject matter and tools for school, hours and cases for the working day, and a community of people who speak your language.
The platform covers 120 trades, educations and courses distributed across 36 schools — from carpenter, electrician and technical insulator to cook, hairdresser and animal carer. They are equal: each trade has its own curriculum, its own calculators, its own range and its own quizzes. See them all, or let Kvisten ask your way to the one that fits.
Who is behind
Discebo was created, developed and is run by Casper Møller Madsen — idea, design, content and code. It began as one trade's learning site and grew, because the same gaps kept turning up in every trade: the material was in one place, the hours in another, and neither spoke to the other. You can read more about me and my other projects at camsilo.dk. The platform is independent: it is not owned by or affiliated with schools, manufacturers or organisations, and none of the mentioned manufacturers or sources pay to be included.
Everything is guiding – but fact-checked
Calculators, templates, articles and guides provide indicative results — not final dimensioning, design or advice. For a specific task, dimensioning, material choice and safety must always be validated against current standards and the project's own requirements.
At the same time, the content is verified: figures, formulas and class specifications are checked against published standards, regulations, industry guidelines and manufacturers' own datasheets — and the source is cited directly on each calculator and article. If you find an error anyway, write; it will be corrected.
Sources & credits
Each subject is built on published specialist literature, Danish standards, legislation and industry guidance. The entire list — standards per subject, manuals, teaching material and trademarks — is compiled together, so any claim on the site can be verified.
If you are a rights holder and believe something should be adjusted — removed, credited differently or linked directly — contact me and I will correct it as quickly as possible.
