§ 02 — Become Beautician
As a beautician you work with skin care treatments and beauty. You give facial treatments care for skin do hair removal makeup and nails and advise customers on how to care for their skin. When you are done you are skilled in a trade where you help people feel good about themselves — both in their skin and in their mood.
§What do you do in everyday life?
You receive customers in a clinic or salon, analyze their skin, and provide treatments suited to them. It can be facials with cleansing and massage, hair removal with wax, makeup for a festive occasion, or nail and eyebrow care. You advise on products and skin care so the customer can take care of their skin at home. Much of the profession is about making the customer feel welcome, safe, and comfortable while hygiene and care are present throughout.

§How do you get started?
You typically start with a basic course at a vocational school and then need an apprenticeship in a beauty or cosmetics clinic. The education alternates between school stays and practice so you learn the techniques and try them on real customers right away. You get paid during training and learn the trade alongside experienced cosmologists.
§The way forward
As a finished beautician you can work in beauty clinics spas and wellness centres or in shops focused on skin care. You can specialise in certain treatments become independent with your own clinic or work with sales and advice at cosmetics companies. If you want to continue you can further educate yourself in new treatments and techniques.
