§ 02 — Become Cleaning & facility
Cleaning and facility is about keeping buildings, workplaces and public spaces clean, safe and healthy to be in. It's a profession found everywhere – in hospitals, offices, schools, hotels and industry – and has great significance for both hygiene and indoor climate. The courses here combine commercial cleaning, cleaning services, damage recovery and food hygiene in a FLEX package so you get broad professional foundation.
§What do you do in everyday life?
As a cleaning and facility worker you plan and perform cleaning according to professional methods — you choose the right products tools and techniques for each surface and room. You work with commercial cleaning in large buildings with cleaning services close to customers and you learn food hygiene so you can work in kitchens and production. Damage services involve tidying up and fixing after water fire or moisture damage so a room can be used again.

§How do you get started?
These are AMU courses aimed at you who want to enter the cleaning and facility branch or already work there and want credentials for your skills. As a FLEX package, the courses can be put together to suit you and your workplace. If you want to move towards a full vocational education, there is the service assistant education, where cleaning and facility service is a central part.
§Way forward
With competencies in cleaning and facility work you can work in service companies institutions industry and in hotels and catering. You can build further with more AMU courses move towards serviceassistant or cleaning technician and over time take on responsibility as a team leader or work planner.
