Warehouse and logistics is about getting goods in, stored, found and sent on — efficiently and without errors. On a warehouse, you receive goods, unpack them, register them, and place them correctly. You pick orders, prepare shipments, and keep track of inventory — often using IT systems and scanners. You work at a pace where overview and order are crucial, and you work with colleagues to keep everything flowing. Good logistics means that the right item reaches the right place at the right time.

§How do you get started?
Warehouse and logistics is a course area covering multiple AMU courses — from basic warehouse functions to more specialized topics such as IT warehouse management and hazardous goods. The courses are offered by approved providers and combine theory with practical exercises. You can take a single course to get started or build several more and thus make yourself more broadly applicable in the warehouse.
§Way forward
With experience and more courses you can develop towards roles such as warehouse manager logistics coordinator or dispatcher. Warehouse and logistics is an area in constant development with automation and digital systems so there are good opportunities to specialise and grow with the trade.
