Electronics operator.

As an electronics operator you help manufacture electronics in industry. You build assemble and test circuit boards and electronic components on a production line and you ensure every single product meets quality before being sent further. You become someone who knows the entire production flow from component to finished device.

§What do you do in everyday life?

You work with production equipment and machines that assemble and solder components and you keep an eye on the process running correctly. You test the finished units, find faults, adjust the machines and document quality. It is precise work where small details mean everything.

§How do you get started?

You start with a basic course at a vocational school and then find an apprenticeship in an electronics production company. You get trainee wages along the way and the education alternates between school and practical training so you learn both the technology and the production's everyday life.

As a fully trained electronics operator you can work in electronics and industrial companies with production test and quality. With experience you can become a team leader or specialist in a particular part of production and further education can lead towards more technical electronics work.
