§ 02 — Become The retail education with specialties
Overview
As a skilled person in retail you are the one who brings the shop to life. You meet customers help them find the right thing and ensure the goods are ready and inviting. The training makes you a specialist in sales and service who understands both the customer the product and the business behind.
What do you do in everyday life?
Your day is about people and goods. You receive customers give good advice and close the sale with a smile. You stock shelves build beautiful product displays and keep track of inventory and orders. Depending on your specialty you might work with the webshop arrange bouquets or design shop windows so people want to go in.

How do you get started?
You start with a basic course at a vocational school, where you learn the basics of retail and sales. Then you find an apprenticeship in a shop or chain and enter an education agreement. The rest of the education alternates between school stays and practice in the shop, and you get paid while you're learning.
The way forward
As a skilled person you can become department manager buyer visual merchandiser or shop manager. You can also specialise further or study for example a retail education at a business school or academy level if you want management and business operations deeper under your skin.
