The gold and silversmith trade holds many possibilities. Some become masters in fine repairs others design and make their own jewellery and still others work with larger silver items such as trays and cutlery.

The Danish silversmithing tradition is world-renowned and the craft is maintained in both small workshops and renowned silversmiths. It is a trade where experience and skill really matter and where the best craftspeople are highly respected.
§Your path forward
With the journeyman's certificate you can work in a gold or silver smithy with a jeweller or in a larger silverware workshop. Over time you can specialise design your own collections or eventually open your own workshop. It is a trade where you never stop learning — there is always one more technique to master.
