When you stand with your journeyman's certificate you're skilled — but that doesn't mean learning stops. Photography is in constant motion and most good photographers keep developing their whole lives. Fortunately there are many ways to build on.
§Specialization and courses
An obvious path is to develop expertise within a specific genre. Maybe you want to be the best at portraits food architecture product or reportage. Short courses and workshops give you the opportunity to go deep into exactly what excites you — and to keep your skills sharp as technology changes.

With a few years' experience you yourself can become the one who trains the next photography apprentices. Having apprentices in your business is a way to pass on the trade — and it requires you to stay professionally up to date yourself.
§Entrepreneur and business development
For many photographers the most important further education is actually the business side. Learning to price your work find customers build a strong profile and manage the finances is often the difference between a photographer who survives and one who thrives. There are plenty of courses and advice to be found.
