Event Coordinator is a versatile trade that opens many doors. Because almost all industries use events—from concerts to conferences and company parties—there are many different places where you can use your competencies.
§Where do you work?
You can work in event bureaus, in companies with their own marketing or event department, at venues and conference centers, in cultural institutions, or in organizations that hold fairs and events. Some work as independents.
§Types of events
The events span wide: concerts and festivals, trade fairs and conferences, corporate events, product launches, sports events, and cultural events. Each type has its special requirements, but the methods—planning, budget, run-of-show—recur.
