Meeting template — sprint planning and daily scrum

Fixed agendas for the four Scrum events.

§Sprint planning – agenda

  • 01Sprint goal: what is the purpose of this sprint in one sentence?
  • 02Review the top tasks in the Product Backlog with the Product Owner
  • 03Choose which tasks can realistically be completed in the sprint (Sprint Backlog)
  • 04Break down the selected tasks into smaller, manageable parts
  • 05Agree what 'done' means for each task (Definition of Done)

§Daily scrum — three fixed questions

  • 01What did I do since the last daily scrum?
  • 02What do I want to do until the next one?
  • 03Is there anything blocking me or the team right now?

§Sprint review – agenda

  • 01Show what has actually been built and meets Definition of Done
  • 02Collect feedback from stakeholders/task setter
  • 03Update the Product Backlog with what has been learned
  • 04Briefly discuss whether the sprint goal was met

§Sprint review – agenda

  • 01What went well in the sprint, which we should continue with?
  • 02What didn't go so well, and why?
  • 03What specific, few improvements do we take into the next sprint?
  • 04Have all had their say — including those who are quiet in everyday life?

§After the meeting

  • 01Are Sprint Backlog and Product Backlog updated with what has been agreed?
  • 02Have blockers from daily scrum been followed up not just noted?
  • 03Have improvements from the retrospective been written down somewhere the team actually looks again?
