§Preparation of the tray
- 01Check sterilization indicator and shelf life on packed tray.
- 02Lay cables away from places where people walk or need to move during recording.
- 03Check that all instruments are in good condition — sharp blades and functional joints.
- 04Prepare suture set and suture material according to the planned procedure.

§During the procedure.
- 01Keep track of what is taken from and put back on the tray.
- 02Report clearly if anything leaves the sterile field.
- 03Maintain the aseptic boundary — if you are unsure about anything being sterile treat it as dirty.
§Before closure and after the intervention
- 01Recount compresses, needles and instruments before the operating field closes.
- 02Clean instruments immediately to avoid dried organic material.
- 03Pack and sterilize according to clinic procedure.
- 04Note damaged instruments for repair or disposal.
