Systematic inspection extends the tool's lifespan and prevents production shutdowns
Tools and moulds wear gradually during production, and systematic maintenance is cheaper than an unexpected production stop. Use the plan to distribute inspections on a daily, weekly and periodic basis, so wear is discovered before it becomes defects in the items.
§Daily inspection (operator)
- 01Visual inspection of the tool's functional surfaces for damage
- 02Inspection that ejectors and sliders move freely
- 03Cleaning for chips, plastic debris and dirt after driving is complete
§Weekly inspection.
- 01Lubrication of sliding parts according to lubrication plan
- 02Inspection of cooling channels for clogging or leaks
- 03Inspection of gap and burr formation on punching die
§Periodic inspection (at agreed intervals or per item count)
