Tool education gives you a broad background in precision machining and tool assembly. Along the way, you can specialise depending on what kind of tool you want to work with.
§Shape
The form specialty is about casting moulds – the tools used to manufacture, for example, plastic or metal parts. The mould must be strong and precise because it is used again and again to make the same part.
§Cut and stand
The specialization cutting and stamping deals with punch tools that press or cut parts from metal sheets — for example fittings or capsules. Here it is the sharpness and fit that determines whether the parts come out well.

§Workplaces
As a tool maker you can work in the metal and plastics industry with companies that manufacture tools or with producers who have their own tool production. It is a trade that exists everywhere many identical parts need to be made.
§What makes you good at it
Sense of precision patience and an interest in how things are made. The one who can read a drawing machine precisely and inspect their own work is sought after — for the tool is what the entire production is built on.
