Checklist: cutting pattern

Inspection of a cut before it is included in the drawing set

§Cutting line and reference

  • 01Is the section line drawn on the correct view?
  • 02Do the arrows clearly show which way to look into the item?
  • 03Is the section named so the section view can be matched to the section line?

§Hatching

  • 01Are all figures and tables numbered, explained and referenced in the text?
  • 02Have cavities and openings been left unshaded?
  • 03Are adjacent parts hatched differently so the boundaries between them are visible?

§What must not be cut through

  • 01Is all given medicine noted with dose and time?
  • 02Has the revision field been updated if the drawing has been changed?

§Clarity and objective

  • 01Has the simplest section type been chosen that solves the task?
  • 02Are the internal dimensions placed on the sectional view where they can be read?
  • 03Is there no unnecessary cutting that could be removed without loss of understanding?
