Levelling: height and set out

What is point altitude and what should staff show?

Answer: With the levelling instrument you sight first on a fixed point with known height (backsight) and then on the new point (foresight). The instrument's sighting height is the height plus backsight, and the point's height is sighting height minus foresight. When you set out a foundation or a floor at a specific height, the calculator gives the reading the staff should show.

Formula

Sigtehøjde = fikspunktets kote + tilbageblik

Punktets kote = sigtehøjde − fremblik

Højdeforskel = tilbageblik − fremblik (positiv = punktet ligger højere end fikspunktet)

Does not apply when

  • Read in millimetre, and level back to the fixed point to close the measurement. The deviation shows your measurement error. A rod reading below 0 or above the rod length means the instrument needs to be moved.

Når du opmåler et terræn eller skal afsætte en sokkel eller et gulv i en bestemt kote, bruger du nivelleringsinstrumentet. Beregneren regner punktets kote ud fra tilbageblik og fremblik og den stangaflæsning, der giver den ønskede kote.

Step by step

  1. Stil instrumentet op og i vater mellem fikspunktet og det nye punkt.
  2. Sigt på stangen på fikspunktet. Aflæsningen er tilbageblikket.
  3. Sigtehøjden er fikspunktets kote plus tilbageblikket.
  4. Sigt på stangen på det nye punkt. Kote = sigtehøjde − fremblik.
  5. Til afsætning: hæv eller sænk stangen, til den viser sigtehøjde − ønsket kote.

Typical errors

  • At bytte om på tilbageblik og fremblik. Tilbageblikket er altid på det kendte punkt.
  • At glemme at stangen står forkert på terrænet. Stil den på en fast flade eller en pæl.
  • At lukke målingen uden at nivellere tilbage. En retur til fikspunktet viser din fejl.

Examples from everyday life

Kote på en eksisterende terrænflade

Du opmåler en grund. Fikspunktet har kote 12,345, tilbageblikket er 1,482 m, og fremblikket på terrænet ved det kommende hjørne er 2,107 m. Soklen skal stå i kote 12,000.

It means: Terrænet ligger i kote 11.72 m. Højdeforskellen er -0.625 m, så terrænet ligger lavere end fikspunktet. For at afsætte overkant sokkel skal stangen vise 1.827 m.

Afsætning af gulvkote

Et nyt gulv skal ligge i kote 4,800 (DVR90). Fikspunktet har kote 4,250, tilbageblikket er 1,315 m, og terrænet giver et fremblik på 1,020 m.

It means: Sigtehøjden er 5.565 m, og terrænet ligger i kote 4.545 m. Stangen skal vise 0.765 m, når den står på det færdige gulvniveau.

Rule of thumb

Større tilbageblik end fremblik betyder, at punktet ligger højere end fikspunktet.

How to check the answer

Nivellér tilbage til fikspunktet. Summen af tilbageblik minus summen af fremblik skal give nul, inden for få millimeter.
