Keep track of where things go so troubleshooting goes quickly
Use the log to keep track of where each signal comes from and where it goes — especially on productions with many cables and multiple technicians on the same assembly.

- 01Give each cable a unique ID and physically mark both ends with the same ID
- 02Fill in the line as soon as the cable is pulled—not afterward when you have forgotten.
- 03Write status down when the cable is tested, not just when it is laid out
- 04Take the log with you when removing so everything comes home correctly labelled

§According to the Building Preservation Act, it is the Department of Culture (SLKS) that administers the rules for protected buildings in Denmark. It is SLKS that must give permission when a protected building is to be altered, restored, or maintained beyond what is considered ordinary maintenance.
Upon removal you cross off that each cable has come home and note whether anything should be repaired or scrapped before use again.
