How to ensure the product can be approved

Quality control is the last filter before casings are sent on. Use this checklist.

§Purity

  • 01Are the guts completely clean?
  • 02Are any residues that need to be cleaned away?
  • 03Do they meet the requirements for food use?

§Sorting and suitability

  • 01Are the guts sorted correctly by size?
  • 02Do they fit the purpose they are to be used for?
  • 03Has material that doesn't meet specification been discarded?

§Packing and documentation

  • 01Have conservation and packing been carried out correctly?
  • 02Is the product covered by the type approval (initial type test) that covers the specific construction and glass type?
  • 03Is it clear what is approved for further use?
