How to ensure the correct dimensions from the start
Good measurement is the foundation for successful plastering. Use this checklist before you start making templates or forming.
§Before you measure
- 01Arrange with the customer or site manager what needs to be done
- 02Take pictures of the room and any existing profiles
- 03Make sure that you can safely reach all surfaces
§The actual measuring
- 01Measure the room's lengths where molding and rosettes should sit
- 02Check if walls and ceiling are square
- 03Note any unevenness that should be taken into account
- 04Measure depth and width on existing profile when restoring
§After measuring
- 01Draw the profile so you can make an accurate template
- 02Calculate how much material you need to use
- 03Mark lines on the site where the stucco should go
