Template: Risk assessment before a stucco task

Think through safety and work environment before you start

Most injuries on a building site can be prevented if you think before you start. Use this template as a quick risk assessment you can run through before starting a new plastering job.

§Work at height

  • 01Is the scaffold or ladder set up correctly and secured?
  • 02Do you have the necessary certificates for the scaffolding?
  • 03Can you work independently, for example alone in a citizen's home?

§PLACEHOLDER_28

  • 01How heavy are the casts, and can you lift them safely?
  • 02Are there aids for the heavy lifting?
  • 03Can you get help from a colleague with the biggest topics?

§Dust, chemistry and indoor climate

  • 01Does the task create dust and do you have respiratory protection and exhaust?
  • 02Are you using products with epoxy or isocyanates — and do you have a certificate?
  • 03Is there proper ventilation in the room?

§Finally

Take the two minutes it takes to go through the list. A quick risk assessment is a small investment that can save you from an injury that follows you for the rest of your life.
