Further and continuing education as a stucco worker

When you stand with your journeyman's certificate you have solid craft in your hands. But a vocational education is also a springboard: you can build with courses specialization or an entire higher education. What you choose depends on whether you want to improve the craft itself or move more toward planning and management.

You can take courses that make you even better at parts of the trade — for example in restoration, special techniques, or work with specific materials. Many stucco workers specialize in restoring old buildings because that's where the most demanding and prestigious work is.

§Higher education

If you want to go further toward a more theoretical and planning role in construction, you can study further. One of the classical paths for craftspeople is building constructor where you learn to plan, design and coordinate construction tasks. Here you combine your practical experience from the profession with theory and you gain access to a broader range of jobs in construction and project management.

As a building constructor there are also good opportunities to build even more with shorter courses, leadership training and further academic levels. Your background as a skilled stucco worker is a strength because you understand building all the way down from the craft.
