From cast part to approved component
A cast item is rarely completely finished when it comes out of the mould. Use this checklist for finishing and inspection.
§Cleaning and processing

- 02Sand burrs away from parting lines
- 03Process the surface so that it suits the purpose
§Inspection
- 01Measure the part and compare with the requirements
- 02Check for visible defects in material and surface
- 03Test the topic where necessary
§Approval
- 01Note the result of the inspection
- 02Separate items that do not meet requirements
- 03Prepare the approved parts for further use
