Production and assembly education

On production and assembly education, you learn to manufacture and assemble products in industry. You work with machines, materials, and assembly and are part of getting goods from raw material to finished product. It is a good profession for you who like practical work, good craftsmanship, and seeing a result come into being.

§What do you do in everyday life?

A typical day involves operating machines assembling parts and checking that products are in order. You read work descriptions use hand tools and machines and package or prepare products for delivery. Pace and quality must go together so you learn to work both quickly and carefully.

§How do you get started?

You start with a basic course at a vocational school and then find an apprenticeship in a production company. You get apprentice wages throughout the education and alternate between school stays and practice so you build both routine and understanding of how a production works together.

§The way forward

As fully trained you can work in many different production and assembly companies. With experience you can get more responsibility be trained in new machines or build further with courses and other vocational education within industry and technology.
