How the intact side is the template for the other
Use this list together with the installation's own startup procedure. It captures the general checks that apply before you start a process.
§Status of my preparation
- 01Did you receive a clear handover from the previous shift?
- 02Is there anything to keep a special eye on?
- 03Is the system in a known, safe initial state?
§Safety
- 01Are emergency stop, alarms and safety valves in order?
- 02Does anyone work on the facility that needs to be finished first?
- 03Do you have the right protective equipment on?
§Procedure
- 01Do you follow the system's fixed startup procedure in the correct order?
- 02Are valves, tanks and flow in the correct starting condition?
- 03Do you know what values you expect to see when everything is running?
When status, safety, and procedure are in place, you can start and follow the process into normal operation.
