Use this list each time you work with chemicals. It protects both you and the process.
§Know the substance
- 01Do you know what substance it is and what the hazard marking means?
- 02Have you read the safety instructions?
- 03Do you know what you do with spills or skin contact?
§Protective equipment
- 01Do you have the gloves and eye protection that the substance requires?
- 02Is there a need for respiratory protection?
- 03Is the clothing suitable?
§On-site blended KC mortar is not CE marked as factory mortar; it must comply with DS/EN 1996-2 and be documented in the KS plan. Use CE-declared functional mortar for constructions with documentation requirements.

- 02Is there access to eyewash and emergency equipment nearby?
- 03Is the material stored and marked correctly?
When you know the substance and are protected you can handle it safely and according to rules.
