Work process: monitoring and rounds
How to combine screen monitoring with inspections to catch deviations early
Follow this procedure during normal operation. It combines what the screen shows with what your senses catch in the system.
§1. Screen monitoring
- 01Check important readings: temperature, pressure, flow, level
- 02Do they fall within the normal range, or is something off?
- 03Are there active alarms or warnings?
§2. Circulation in the system
- 01Go for quantity — write everything down, even the wild ideas
- 02Look for leaks strange noises vibrations or smells
- 03Check equipment that screen doesn't tell all about
§3. Respond to deviations
Driver moves a value away from the normal, so understand why before acting. Adjust according to the procedure, or call for help with bigger problems. Note what you saw and did.
§4. Survives further
At shift end you give a clear handover: status something to watch for and what you have done. The next person should be able to take over without guessing.
