§A broad process industry
The process industry manufactures a wide range of products: medicines, food and beverages, chemicals, ingredients, enzymes, packaging, building materials and more. The basic principle — to control and monitor a process so it delivers uniform quality — is the same across industries, and therefore the education is a broad entry point.
§Levels and directions
The education can be completed at a basic level or continued to full process operator level, possibly with a specialization toward, for example, pharmaceutical and food ingredient production or green energy and production. Which path you take often depends on what your business does.

With the journeyman's certificate you can work as a skilled process operator. With experience you can become responsible for larger parts of a plant become shift manager or work manager specialise in specific processes or move towards roles in quality maintenance or further training. The industry seeks skilled workers and job opportunities are good.
