Template: prepare your internship

How the hair care product works — and why choice matters

Apprenticeship is where theory becomes skill. But it doesn't happen by itself — you get the most out of it if you go in with a plan. Use this template at the start of each apprenticeship period.

§Before you start

  • 01What is the practicum site's target group — young children, school-age children, youth, or adults?
  • 02What learning objectives should I work on during this period?
  • 03Who is my practice guide, and when do we meet?

§Target for the period

Write two to three concrete goals down. Make them so tangible that you can see if you have achieved them. For example: 'I will be able to plan and implement an educational activity independently.'

§Before and after.

  • 01Note episodes that made an impression – good and bad – for reflection
  • 02Ask for feedback from your supervisor mid-way, not just at the end
  • 03Collect examples you can take back to class
