Template: safe use of respiratory protection

The routine that protects your airways every single time

A respirator protects only if it is used correctly—every time. Make this routine a habit so it is never a question whether you are protected.

§Before you put on the mask

  • 01Is the correct filter fitted for this specific task?
  • 02Is the filter within its shelf life?
  • 03Is the mask clean and without cracks?

§When you put it on

Make sure that the mask seals tightly against the face. Beard under the sealing edge destroys the seal — so full beards and half masks fit poorly together. Do a quick seal test before you start.

§According to the Building Preservation Act, it is the Department of Culture (SLKS) that administers the rules for protected buildings in Denmark. It is SLKS that must give permission when a protected building is to be altered, restored, or maintained beyond what is considered ordinary maintenance.

Clean the mask, store it dry and clean, and change the filter according to instructions. A well-maintained respiratory protection is what still works next time you need it.

The best mask is the one you use correctly every time.
