Work process: inspection of the finished surface
How to systematically check that the flooring meets the requirements
Follow these steps when the coating is dry or cured. A thorough inspection now prevents errors from reaching the customer.
§1. Visual inspection
- 01Is the surface even and fully covered — no dry spots or bleed-through?
- 02Is there running, dripping, or cratering?
- 03Are edges and corners properly covered?
§2. Layer thickness
Measure layer thickness several places if the task requires it. Too thin gives poor protection; too thick can cause other problems. The thickness must be within what has been agreed for the task.
§3. Adhesion
Check that coating is secure and cannot be pushed or scraped loose. Poor adhesion is almost always due to insufficient surface preparation and should be caught now
§4. Documentation
- 01Note measurements and result if the task requires it
- 02Describe any deviations and what is done about them
- 03Approve the item first when it meets the requirements
A subject that has been checked and documented can be delivered with peace of mind.
