How to plan the cutting list and placement on sheet or plate before cutting
Use this schedule when a task has multiple pieces to be cut from the same material. A few minutes of planning here often saves both material and an extra trip to the timber merchant.

§Placement on the plate or plank
- 01Draw the placement beforehand, or use nesting software to minimize waste
- 02Remember the kerf width between each piece so the measurements still fit after cutting

- 01Calculate 1-2 extra items of the most important or difficult parts
- 02Note which parts should have the finest grain on visible surfaces
- 03Check that there is enough material before you cut the first piece
