Checklist: exporting graphics to web and social media
Inspection of digital deliverables before publication
§Format and dimensions
- 01Is the graphics produced in the correct format for the platform (e.g. 9:16 for Stories/Reels, 1:1 or 4:5 for feed, 16:9 for YouTube)?
- 02Is the resolution full size for the format (e.g. 1080 × 1920 px for 9:16) — neither upscaled nor unnecessarily large?
- 03Does important text and logo lie within the safe zone so the platform's buttons and cropping do not cover them?
- 04Have variants been made for all agreed platforms – not one file reused uncritically?
§Color theory.
- 01Is the file exported in RGB (sRGB) — not CMYK?
- 02Is the file type correct: photo as compressed raster format, sharp graphics/logo as PNG or SVG?
- 03Is video exported as MP4 (H.264 + AAC audio)?
- 04Is the file size reasonable — compressed without visible quality loss?
§PLACEHOLDER_59
- 01Can all text be read on a mobile screen at arm's length — even by people over 40?
- 02Is there sufficient contrast between text and background (checked with contrast tool)?
- 03Is the message conveyed by more than color alone?
- 04Does the video have subtitles or on-screen text so it works without sound?
- 05Has alternative text been written for images where the platform supports it?
§Content and clarity
- 01Have text, prices, dates and links been proofread and verified?
- 02Has the result been assessed on the 0-5 scale according to ISO 2409?
- 03Have recognizable people given consent to publication?
- 04Does the graphic follow the customer's design manual (logo, colors, typeface)?
