Control points from ADR marking to placement and shipment

§Upon receipt of hazardous goods

  • 01Check cooling lubricant for bacteria/pH
  • 02Check that packaging is undamaged and correctly marked.
  • 03Check if safety data sheet is available — if missing, contact responsible person before handling
  • 04Note the quantity so it can be used for a possible assessment of the free quantity.

§Placement in warehouse

  • 01Place according to the company's incompatible hazard class loading and unloading rules.
  • 02Observe the marked zone for dangerous goods.
  • 03Check that load mark and shelf are suitable for the material and its packaging.
  • 04Make sure that escape routes and spill kits are accessible nearby.

§Preparation for shipment

  • 01Check that markings and hazard labels are intact before shipment.
  • 02Compare the quantity with the permitted limits for the transport unit.
  • 03Make sure that transport documents for dangerous goods are correctly completed.
  • 04Use only staff with relevant training for handling and preparation.

§For accident or spill

  • 01Follow the emergency plan and evacuate if necessary.
  • 02Use spillage kit and personal protective equipment according to the safety data sheet's instructions.
  • 03Alert the responsible person or safety advisor immediately.
  • 04Document the incident afterwards.
