Checklist before crane setup

How to ensure the crane stands stable before you lift

Review the points before the crane is used in a new location. A crane that doesn't stand stable cannot lift — regardless of how simple the lift seems.

§Assess the space

  • 01Check that substrate can bear crane and lift
  • 02Look for slopes soft ground wells or cavities
  • 03Check the distance to electrical lines and obstacles

§Set up

  • 01Put support legs fully out and support on firm ground
  • 02Use base plates where the bottom is soft
  • 03Check that crane stands level and stable

§Last check

  • 01Confirm that the crane cannot touch obstacles in the lift path
  • 02Check that the work area is cordoned off from unauthorized persons
  • 03Check that safety systems are active
