Checklist before crane setup
How to ensure the crane stands stable before you lift
Review the points before the crane is used in a new location. A crane that doesn't stand stable cannot lift — regardless of how simple the lift seems.
§Assess the space
- 01Check that substrate can bear crane and lift
- 02Look for slopes soft ground wells or cavities
- 03Check the distance to electrical lines and obstacles
§Set up
- 01Put support legs fully out and support on firm ground
- 02Use base plates where the bottom is soft
- 03Check that crane stands level and stable
§Last check
- 01Confirm that the crane cannot touch obstacles in the lift path
- 02Check that the work area is cordoned off from unauthorized persons
- 03Check that safety systems are active
