Checklist: manicure/pedicure hygiene and tools
Fixed routine for tools, surfaces, and signs you should react to.
Use this checklist for hygiene and tool control at each manicure or pedicure treatment.
§Before treatment
- 01Clean metal tools in soapy water and let them soak in disinfectant for at least 15 minutes
- 02Use disposable files, or clean and disinfect files thoroughly between customers
- 03Clean nail box, UV/LED lamp and other equipment
- 04Wash and disinfect hands
§During treatment.
- 01Examine nails and skin for signs of infection or fungus before you start.
- 02Use clean towels and disposable items where possible
- 03Change tool or pause treatment if you discover something suspicious along the way
§Sign you should respond to
