Checklist for preventive maintenance (TPM round)
Your fixed operator round for autonomous maintenance — cleaning lubrication and early troubleshooting
This round is your own part of preventive maintenance — the part TPM calls autonomous maintenance. Set time aside for it consistently even when the line runs fine. Always stop and secure the system after procedure before you touch moving parts.
§Before the round
- 01Stop and secure the system if the round requires access to moving parts
- 02Have cleaning cloth, lubricant and any tools ready
- 03Know the facility's normal sound, temperature and smell so you can notice a deviation
§Visual and physical inspection
- 01Look for leaks — oil air steam or liquid
- 02Check loose screws, bolts and connections
- 03Check wear on belts, chains, and moving parts

- 05Check cables, hoses and regulator for damage
§Cleaning and lubrication
- 01Clean the system according to company procedure – use cleaning as an additional inspection
- 02Lubricate according to lubrication schedule, not by feel
- 03Check filters, oil level and other fluid levels
