Work process for quality control
How you extract, measure and act on samples during operation
Use this procedure at each quality inspection. The goal is to catch deviations early, while they are still small.
§1. Take the sample
- 01Take the sample at the agreed time and place.
- 02Use correct, calibrated measuring equipment
- 03Handle the sample so it is not changed or contaminated
§2. Measure and assess
- 01Measure the established properties — size, weight, appearance or other
- 02Compare with the limit values
- 03Note the result, even when everything is in order
§3. Act and document
- 01Adjust the system if the sample deviates
- 02Check again that the adjustment worked
- 03Document sample, result and any action
