Safety in industrial production has two sides: that you work safely among machines with great power and that the product you make is safe for those who use it. Both are governed by rules and procedures and both are taken seriously.

§Hygiene and clean product
In food, medicine and similar production, hygiene is part of safety — for the consumer. You follow fixed rules for hand washing, work clothes, cleaning and separation of clean and unclean. Contamination you cannot see can make people sick, so the rules are strict and are not waived. A clean process is a safe process.
§Quality control
Quality in mass production means that every single item meets the requirements — not just the one you check. This is ensured through fixed controls, clear limit values and rapid intervention when something deviates. You work according to procedures that are well thought out in advance, rather than doing what you think. That is what makes the quality uniform.
§Traceability and documentation
In many industries you must be able to trace a product back: which raw materials, which system, which shift. It is crucial if something turns out to be wrong, so you can find and recall precisely the affected goods rather than all production. Therefore you carefully note what has been run when. Documentation is not paperwork — it is what makes a recall possible and limited.
§Personal protective equipment
Depending on the plant, you use hearing protection against noise, gloves, eye protection, respiratory protection or other protective equipment. The protective equipment is chosen based on the hazards present right there, and it is used every time, not only when you remember it. Skipping the protective equipment just once is enough to cause an injury that stays with you for a long time.
§When something goes wrong
If there is an accident a stop or a deviation you act calmly and according to the agreed rules: stop secure report and document. You do not try to hide an error — a reported error can be corrected a hidden error becomes a bigger problem. An open relationship with errors is part of a safe workplace.
