What is HTX? The technical path through secondary school.

HTX — the technical upper secondary school — is a three-year upper secondary education that provides a general university entrance qualification with a pronounced technical and scientific profile. The training is aimed at you who like to work practically and experimentally, and who want to understand how technology and science are connected to society.
§What characterises HTX?
Where STX (the general upper secondary school) has focus on languages and humanities, and HHX on economics and commerce, HTX's academic focus lies in technology, natural science and technology. You meet subjects like technology, engineering, physics, chemistry, biology and programming, while also following the compulsory general subjects like Danish, English, mathematics and social studies.
A distinctive feature of HTX is that teaching often starts with concrete problems and projects. You do not just learn theory — you test it in the lab and in the workshop and document your work as done in technical-scientific practice.
§Courses of study
After a tire change with direct TPMS, the sensor must often be reset or reconnected to the car's system. If you forget, the car can keep warning about incorrectly low pressure — or fail to warn correctly going forward.

§What does HTX give access to?
Completing HTX gives a general school-leaving certificate that gives access to further education on equal terms with the other academic educations. Many HTX students continue to technical and scientific educations such as engineer, computer scientist, architect or to health science and scientific university educations — but admission requirements depend on the individual further education, not just the choice of secondary school.
