Template: choose the right specialization
Compare sales purchasing logistics and digital specialists based on yourself
One of the most important choices in education is the specialisation. It shapes both your daily life in the main course and the jobs you point towards afterwards. Use this template to compare your options in a structured way instead of choosing on gut feeling alone.
§Know your options
Trade education has several specializations that pull in each direction. Ask yourself: do I prefer to work with customers and sales, with suppliers and procurement, with goods and warehouse, or with digital platforms and trade between companies?
| Specialty | Core | Suits you if you |
|---|---|---|
| Trade assistant, sales | Customers, sales methods, negotiation | Likes contact with people and closing deals |
| Purchasing assistant | Suppliers, import/export, payment | Is analytical and likes to negotiate and keep track of details |
| Logistics assistant | Warehouse, goods flow, costs | Likes overview, planning and practical management |
| Digital trade B2B | Online programming: the robot is guided manually through the movements; offline: the path is created in a simulation based on a 3D model | Thrives with systems data and digital platforms |
| B2B Manager | Coordination and management in B2B commerce | Will move toward a coordinating or leading role |
§Match with your future plans
- 01What jobs attract you on the other side of the journeyman's certificate
- 02Do you want to further your education later, and what does it require
- 03Where are there apprenticeship positions where you live or want to live
§Talk to a counselor
When you've considered your thoughts book a meeting with a study counselor. They know specialty content in detail and can help you link your interests character options and apprenticeship situation into a choice that holds.
