Journeyman's exam preparation: checklist
From portfolio to oral presentation
Use this checklist through the last year of your apprenticeship, so you are well prepared for the journeyman examination.
§PLACEHOLDER_13
- 01Save good examples of your work on an ongoing basis — don't wait until the last school period.
- 02Note which choices of material, method and settings you made in each task and why.
- 03Collect examples from several different printing methods if your training allows for it.
§Portfolio folder
- 01Physical product examples are included and in good condition.
- 02Each example has accompanying documentation.
- 03The folder is structured so an outsider can follow along.
§Up to the oral exam
- 01You can account for your project task in your own words — not just read it out.
- 02You know the technical concepts and standards that are relevant to your task.
- 03You have practiced the presentation for a colleague, instructor, or practical advisor.
