The graphics industry is broader than many think. Printed products are everywhere: books, magazines, packaging, signs, labels and advertisements. As a graphics technician, you can work with many different types of products and machines.

§The industry in development

The machines are becoming more automated and digital printing makes it possible to print small customized print runs cheaply. At the same time demands for sustainability grow — recycled paper less waste and more environmentally friendly paints. The graphic technician who understands both technology and environmental considerations is well equipped for the future.

§Your path forward

With the journeyman's certificate you can work in printing houses of many sizes — from the small digital printer to the large industrial company. You can specialise in a particular machine type or in finishing and with experience you can become operator on the most advanced machines or manager of a production.
