The most expensive error in the trade is a wrong measurement. Follow this list every time, even for small tasks.
§The actual measuring
- 01Measure the width three places: top, middle and bottom — use the smallest measurement.
- 02Measure height three places: left, middle and right — use the smallest measurement.
- 03Measure the frame's depth so you know the glass thickness there is room for.
- 04Check if frame is square or skewed
§Before ordering
- 01Deduct the necessary clearance from the measurements.
- 02Note desired glass type and any requirements for safety glass.
- 03Write the goals clearly down and take a photo of the place.
