A short structured conversation before the task — often called a Safe Job Analysis (SJA) — is an effective way to catch risks while there's still time to adjust the plan. Use this agenda as the starting point for the meeting.
§Points for the meeting
- 01Describe the task and the system to be worked on
- 02Identify risks — voltage, working at height, weather conditions, excavation and so on
- 03Agree who is responsible for which parts of the task
- 04Review the five safety rules if the task involves de-energized work
- 05Agree what protective equipment and equipment should be used
- 06Arrange communication during and emergency procedure if something goes wrong
