Checklist: inspection and release

The final checks before a job is reported completed

The final check is the most important. Go through all points before you report work complete.

§The work performed

  • 01Has the task been performed according to the procedure from start to end?
  • 02Is everything in place — is nothing loose or forgotten?
  • 03Are bolts and connections tightened with the prescribed torque?

§Counting

  • 01Are all tools accounted for and present?
  • 02Are small parts, cover plates and similar accounted for?
  • 03Is there nothing left in or on the plane?

§Documentation and release

  • 01Has the work carried out and parts used been written down?
  • 02Has the required inspection of the work been carried out?
  • 03Has the aircraft been released by someone authorised to do so?
