Process template: Acute situation at the center
Fixed sequence of actions in emergencies.
§Create an overview and safety
- 01Stop activity around the injured person and create calm.
- 02Make sure that no additional hazards arise (equipment, weights, other members).
- 03Assess the person: is she conscious and is she breathing normally?
§Call and inform
- 01If unconscious without normal breathing: call 112 and ask for a defibrillator.
- 02Identify specific people to call and to get the center's AED.
- 03Send someone to receive the ambulance at the entrance.
§Provide life-saving first aid
- 01Start carefully and gradually with good ventilation
- 02Turn on the defibrillator (AED) immediately and follow its spoken instructions.
- 03Continue until the person wakes up or professional help takes over.
§Depending on the situation
- 01Note what happened (incident report according to workplace rules).
- 02Check and replenish first aid kit; report AED for inspection if used
- 03Follow up on those involved — witnesses too may need support.
