A moment's check before starting is cheaper than an accident. Go through the points every time you go to the machine.

- 02Is long hair tied up?
- 03Do you have safety goggles on, and hearing protection where required?
§The machine clean and free from last shift's residue
- 01Are the screens in place correctly?
- 02Is the item held firmly secured?
- 03Is the tool correctly mounted and in good condition?
- 04Do you know how the machine is stopped quickly?
§Surroundings
- 01Is the work area cleared of unnecessary things?
- 02Are there chips or oil on the floor that should be removed?
- 03Are other people standing at a safe distance?
