Work process: from part to inspected component

The fixed steps from clamping to measurement that carry a task safely to completion

Use this order on a typical machining task, so accuracy is built in from the start.

1. Preparation

  • 01PLACEHOLDER_43
  • 02Plan the order of processing
  • 03Find and check tools and measuring equipment

2. Clamping

  • 01Clamp the component firmly, evenly, and well-defined
  • 02Check that it is firmly fastened and cannot move
  • 03Confirm zero point and location relative to the tool

3. Processing

  • 01Choose the right speed and feed based on the material
  • 02Keep an eye on chips, heat and sound
  • 03Measure along the way so deviations are caught early

4. Inspection

  • 01Measure all critical dimensions against the drawing's tolerances
  • 02Check surface and details
  • 03Note the measurements and scrap or correct a part outside tolerance
