How to systematically start applying for internship positions
Finding a work placement is an important part of your EUX. Use this checklist to work through your search in a structured way, from preparation to the signed agreement.
§Preparation
- 01Write a short, clear application aimed at your profession
- 02Make an overview of techniques you're least confident in, and train them specifically.
- 03Make a hypothesis about the cause and test it with measurements rather than guessing.
- 04Talk with your school's counselor or internship consultant
§Contact and application
- 01Contact the companies — both in writing and in person
- 02Follow up on your application after a reasonable time
- 03Prepare for the conversation by knowing something about the company
- 04Show up on time and well prepared
