Checklist: seasonal preparation of machine

From winter rest to operating season without surprises

§Before the machine is started for the first time

  • 01Check for pests, moisture damage and rust attack after downtime.
  • 02Check battery and charge or replace if necessary.
  • 03Check fuel level — drain if suspecting old or contaminated fuel
  • 04Review lubrication plan and re-lubricate all points not greased during winter storage.

§Fluids and filters

  • 01Check oil, hydraulic and coolant levels.
  • 02Change filters that are close to or past the service interval.
  • 03Look for leaks that have developed during downtime.
  • 04Check tire pressure or belt tightness after a long standstill period.

§Electronics and safety

  • 01Read any stored error codes from the downtime period.
  • 02Check lights, signals and warning lights.
  • 03Test brakes, safety switches and operator guard.
  • 04Check that guards and safety equipment are correctly positioned after winter maintenance.

§Test drive and delivery

  • 01Test run the machine in a safe place without load first.
  • 02Test relevant seasonal functions (e.g. cutting table, press or spray boom).
  • 03Document the preparation and any remarks in the case.
  • 04Inform the customer of observations to watch during the season.
